BlueFusion

AI Receptionist for Christchurch Businesses

24/7 AI phone answering for trades, home services & small businesses across NZ

Missing calls while you are on the tools? Talk to us about an agent that answers every call in your business name, day or night.

The calls you miss are the jobs you lose

If you are on the tools, on a roof or with a customer, the phone rings out. After hours it rings out every time. Most callers don't leave a message, they ring the next business on the list.

An AI receptionist is a phone agent that answers in your business name, takes the caller's details and the job, and sends them to you. It does the work of a virtual receptionist or answering service without the per-call fees, and it never goes off shift.

BlueFusion Voice is our 24/7 AI receptionist for Christchurch and New Zealand businesses. It answers your missed calls, asks the questions that matter to your business, so a repair call, a booking enquiry or a quote request each arrives with the details you need to act on it, sends the request straight into your calendar or job system, and tells the caller when to expect a callback. We build it, monitor it and keep it working, for one predictable monthly fee.

How a call goes

The agent answers as a named receptionist for your business and says up front that it is an AI assistant and the call is recorded. It works through an intake script written for your trade, so a repair call, for example, may capture the appliance, brand, fault and urgency; a quote request may capture the job, contact info and the address.

If the caller needs a person immediately during business hours it can transfer to your main phone line, and still take a message if nobody picks up.

A sales enquiry, for example

It is not only for trades. A retailer or showroom gets calls while every assistant is with a customer, and most of those calls are someone ready to buy.

A caller rings a kitchen showroom at 4pm on a Saturday. The agent answers in the showroom's name, finds out they are after a benchtop for a renovation, roughly what size, and when they want it done. It gives opening hours and the standard call-out fee for a measure, because the showroom set those as fixed rules, and offers a call back from a salesperson on Monday morning.

  • Caller: Do you do engineered stone benchtops, and roughly what do they cost?
  • Agent: We do. Pricing depends on the stone and the size, so I'll have Sam from the sales team call you Monday with a quote. A measure at your place is $95 and comes off the job if you go ahead. What suburb are you in, and is a 9am call OK?

The sales team gets the lead in their inbox before they open on Monday, with the caller's name, number, suburb, what they want and the agreed callback time.

How you find out

Every call lands in your inbox as a summary with the intake fields and a link to the transcript and recording. Urgent calls are flagged in the subject line.

You also get your own call log to browse any time.

You keep your number

Nothing is ported. Your existing number forwards to the agent after a set duration during business hours, and for all calls outside them.

Turn the forwarding off and the agent is out of the loop. If you ever leave, the agent's number can be released to you.

Works with your tools

Setup includes one integration with Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or Outlook, or any job system with an email-to-lead inbox such as Tradify or ServiceM8.

Each call becomes one structured email with a subject line built for triage: "Phone enquiry: fridge repair, Sydenham, urgent". Other systems, or confirmed bookings into a slot, are quoted separately.

Who it suits

Tradies, home services, retail and showrooms, real estate and hospitality businesses in Christchurch, Canterbury and across New Zealand that lose work to missed calls. If you have ever weighed up a virtual receptionist or an after-hours answering service, this does the same job for a flat monthly fee.

We are not taking health or legal practices yet, because the privacy obligations around call recordings need working through for each one.

Frequently asked questions

How much does AI phone answering cost? +

$199 a month, with 200 minutes of calls included. Setup is a one-off fee, generally around $360, more for complex call flows and less for simple ones. In the first couple of months most clients add about $120 a month for active review of real calls and model improvement. If you use your 200 minutes, a top-up of 50 minutes for $39 is loaded automatically. Prices exclude GST.

Who checks that the calls are going well? +

The monthly fee keeps the agent running and puts every call, with its transcript and recording, in your inbox, so you can see how any call went. Reviewing calls for quality is the active review option: in the first couple of months we review a sample of your real calls, any calls our automatic checks flag, and the caller hang-up rate, and improve the script and model from what callers actually say. Most clients take it for two months, then drop it or opt for a less frequent or less thorough check once the agent is settled.

Is there a minimum term? +

No. It is month to month from the start, with 30 days written notice to stop. You sign a short service agreement covering AI disclosure, call recording and how long recordings are kept. The monthly fee is invoiced in advance through Xero and the setup fee is non-refundable once the agent is live.

Do I need a new phone number? +

No. You keep your existing number and set it to forward to the agent when a call goes unanswered for a set time during business hours, and for all calls after hours. If you ever leave, the agent's number can be released to you.

Does it book jobs into my calendar or job system? +

Each call becomes a structured request in your calendar or job system. Setup includes one integration: Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or Outlook, or any job system with an email-to-lead inbox, such as Tradify or ServiceM8. Other systems are quoted separately. The agent does not confirm bookings into a specific slot; your team triages the request and books it.

What will the agent never do? +

It never quotes a price it hasn't been given, confirms stock or availability, promises a job time or a particular technician, takes payments or makes outbound calls. Those are hard rules in the script, not preferences. It does tell the caller when to expect a callback, following the callback rules you agree with us. It can give standard prices, such as a call-out fee, if you give us a strict price list and rules for when each applies.

Do callers know they are talking to an AI? +

Yes. Every call opens by saying it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. Transcripts and recordings are held on US-hosted platforms for 90 days and then deleted.
